A
traditional radiative-convection day for the entire UK brought with it
several waves of showers, most with glaciated anvils and with thunder. I was
able to capture this one in action after work as it trundled just to the
south of Macclesfield. Two cells were seen, the first giving a few distant
C-Cs, and the second gave a close discharge but the lightning went unseen.
Good discharge rates in both, but were carried swiftly away by a breezy
North Atlantic westerly.
