This was a convectional heavy shower that developed behind a cold front
during a classic mature synoptic weather system. The winds were westerly.

The cell passed to the north of Macclesfield only displaying one single
discharge in it’s time. It was a faint C-C embedded within the rain-curtain
and the thunder, because it was so distant, wasn’t spectacular but had a lot
of bass in it.
The cell continued to move ENE over the Pennines silently.
